At IT Business Awards in Stockholm today I got selected as the IT-Consultant of the year in Sweden. The award is given by IT24 and the paper IT.Branschen, both published by IDG.

Having worked in this business for over 12 years now, it’s nice to see that someone recognizes not only me but all the people nominated.… Read the rest

Reader feedback!

I recevied an email the other day that made me really happy, it’s from Phil (whose company I won’t disclose).

THANK YOU for pulling together information on iSCSI target software for Windows… much appreciated.

I was looking to do an iSCSI SAN as a backend for an application and had recently priced out Dell’s Equallogic SAN and am quoted near $50,000 US for 16 TB drives.… Read the rest

Configure Hyper-V networks on both (same name)
Connect disks to both servers (iscsicpl)
With Failover Cluster Manager, create a cluster with both machines
Enable CSV
Create a machine
Done!… Read the rest

The days were spent in the TLC-area answering clustering questions. This year we had a lot of questions on CSV and geo-clustering, live migration over geo-clusters seemed to be of great interest also.… Read the rest

Spent the weekend in Berlin as we arrived Saturday around lunch. We’ve done some sightseeing and managed to see Berlins museum of contemporary art (http://worldvisitguide.com/musee/M0289.html) on Saturday afternoon. Sunday we went to the Mauer Museum (http://www.mauer-museum.com) which was very interesting.… Read the rest

Server Core Remote Management Whitepaper

When the Core-alternative of Windows Server was introduced in 2008, not a lot of people saw the greatness. A few tried it once, some tried it twice and others got hooked! Fellow administrators often complain that it’s so hard to administer the roles and features of it.… Read the rest
